Policies -

Reservations are strongly recommended. Credit card information will hold your reservation. Cancellations made within two weeks of your tour date will have a fifty percent charge. We try our best to work with you so please call as soon as you know you have to cancel. If we're left standing on the dock waiting for you, there will be a full charge.

If we have to cancel due to weather, or due to your ship changing its schedule, there is no charge. Both of these scenarios are rare.

If it is raining we will not cancel your trip. Ketchikan is in the middle of dense rainforest, and sometimes it rains, even on your vacation. Our rain is generally enjoyable on the water. Misty rain and low clouds go hand in hand with the lush green mountains and island laden waterways. We provide excellent rain gear if you need it, as well as rubber boots.

Summer temps are 50's and 60's. The water reaches mid 60's in summer. Weather and water are much warmer than most people think. Alaska is not all ice!

You must sign a liability release waiver before taking a tour or renting a kayak. You must be reasonably fit and able to participate in moderately strenuous activitiy. Our trips are not endurance tests, but obviously you'll be paddling a kayak so you have to be fit enough for that.
